A little preparation before our crew arrives can make a big difference in how smoothly your project goes. Our team will take care of the painting preparation included in your scope of work, but there are a few things homeowners can do ahead of time to help us get started efficiently.

Your specific preparation requirements may vary depending on the project, and we'll let you know if there is anything special you need to take care of before we arrive.

During the Project

Once our crew arrives, we'll handle the painting process and maintain a safe, professional work environment.

Depending on your project, you may experience:

  • Temporary access restrictions

  • Paint and product odours

  • Equipment and materials in work areas

  • Noise from preparation and sanding

  • Areas that need to remain undisturbed while coatings dry or cure

We'll do our best to minimize disruption and keep the work area organized throughout the project.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Fresh Paint Needs Time

Paint may feel dry before it is fully cured. Avoid washing, scrubbing, or placing objects against newly painted surfaces until they’ve fully cured.

You don't need to do everything yourself.

Our team will complete the painting preparation included in your agreed scope of work, which may include protecting surfaces, preparing walls and substrates, filling and sanding, caulking, priming, and other required preparation.

The exact preparation required depends on the condition of the surfaces and your project scope.

If a condition requires additional work outside the agreed scope, we'll discuss it with you before proceeding.

Don't Put Everything Back Immediately

Give painted surfaces time to properly cure before replacing furniture, hanging artwork, or returning items to their usual locations.

Be Mindful of Pets

Even when paint is dry to the touch, the work area may still contain equipment, materials, or surfaces that need additional drying or curing time.
